John Davidson, originally from Birmingham, Alabama, is a prominent Nashville-based writer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and artist. He is best known as the co-founder, lead guitarist, and vocalist of the indie band The Brummies. The Brummies have achieved significant success, amassing over 40 million streams organically and independently through three full-length albums. Their international tours and dynamic live performances have further solidified their reputation. Davidson, alongside his bandmate Jacob Bryant, forms a versatile songwriting duo, known for their ability to excel in diverse co-writing scenarios. Davidson's songwriting expertise spans multiple genres. He has written for a variety of country artists, including Brett Kissel, Stephen Wilson JR., Fancy Hagood, Harper O’Neil, Carter Faith, Trey Pendley and Meg McRee. Notably, he co-wrote the #1 hit song “Done” for The Band Perry.

In the rock and indie music scene, Davidson has made significant contributions as both a writer and producer, collaborating with artists such as CAAMP, Madi Diaz, Phillip Phillips, Young Summer, David Borné, Lucie Silvas, and Ready Revolution.
